Product Description

Grow your own, fresh cat grass. For use with the Catit Cat Grass Kit (sold separately). Unlike other pots, the Catit Senses 2.0 Grass Planter is difficult to knock over due to its low and stable design. The new and improved Grass Planter features a deeper bowl that is capable of holding the perfect amount of vermiculite. It also features added drainage holes to help prevent overwatering. The Catit Grass Kit contains vermiculite instead of soil. Unlike potting soil, vermiculite is a tidy resource to work with. Keep your hands clean while guaranteeing the best care for your cat. Catit Senses 2.0 products were specifically designed to be mixed and matched, so you can create a new set of toys and change your cat’s play environment frequently to keep them interested. To Plant: Fill the Grass Planter base with water and allow the seeds to soak overnight. Cover the bowl with a sheet of paper towel. Rinse and pour the seeds into the bowl to let dry for a few hours. Afterwards, keep the seeds moist with a wet paper towel or spray bottle. Keep at it until the seeds have sprouted. Lift them out by holding the paper towel by its corners. Add the bag of vermiculite to the bowl. Spread the sprouted seeds evenly onto the vermiculite surface. Do not mix. Add the grid cover once the grass starts growing. Water every so often. After a few days, the grass is ready. It takes about 10 days for the grass to become fully grown. All components can be cleaned with warm water and a soft sponge, using dishwashing soap. Never use aggressive cleaning agents or an abrasive sponge. The Catit Cat Grass Kit contains 3 bags of seeds and 3 bags of vermiculite, and is available in our online shop.

I don’t know yet. I just put it together a couple of days ago. I have been buying the SmartyCat greens for a couple of months (which he loves). If my cat doesn’t have grass available he eats my plants. I’m hoping that this is Going to be his New favorite thing. I’ll keep you posted!

    If you're looking for a quick and easy way to grow cat grass for your beloved kitties, this is for you. It's easy to grow, It's low and wide so not easily tipped over. The top mesh grate is perfect for keeping your kitties our of the dirt. Mine started growing within three days. Don't over water it. a cup of water at planting and light watering afterward is recommended. Please note that the planter does not come with soil or the seeds. I recommend buying the soil and seeds made for this product as it's nearly perfect. You literally just put the soil in the container, sprinkle the seeds on top and water. Three days later, magic grass! My cats love it. If you have more than one cat, I recommend getting a planter for each cat so you don't deplete your grass too quickly.

    Love this planter! My grass has already started growing out of the grate and it’s only been 3 days! The only design flaw is the grate doesn’t lock and so it easily comes off. This can be fixed though, just add some clear adhesive between the grate and outside and it is stays on, but can be removed by you! The seeds and medium do NOT come with it though, you have to order it separate. I found half a bag works great between two planters. I didn’t follow the growing instructions, as they are unnecessarily complicated. Simply add the seeds on top of the growing medium and mist the whole thing everyday, way easier. Love all of your products!

    I ordered the 2-pack assuming I'd alternate growth. Neither of the packages came with seeds or soil. There is absolutely NOTHING In the product description stating that this item doesn't include seeds/soil. In fact the description clearly states "Contains vermiculite instead of soil". The images advertising this item strongly imply that these things are included, and at $30+ (for what amounts to a few pieces of plastic), this should have been a no-brainer. Very, very disappointed. It's going right back in the box and right back to the seller.

    So these don't come with any sort of grass seed, or the vermiculite you're supposed to grow the seed in, so you have to order that separate. Once you get it, you have to grow the grass for weeks taking care of it daily while giving it a little sun and watering it multiple times daily with a spray bottle.

    I just wanted my cats to eat some grass. I don't want to be a full-time gardener.
