A dishwasher-safe bowl locks in place and especially designed to spread kibbles for better food distribution and access to your pets. The included digital timer can be programmed for up to 8 meals per day. Using this digital timer, you could program some “in-between snacks with just a few kibbles by programming the timer for just a few seconds of run time between main meals. You could trigger multiple feeders at one time with one timer! A black powder coated metal bracket attaches the feeder to a compact heavy-duty black ABS base and tower (even a video link is available for assembly, timer and operation in manual). A dishwasher safe bowl locks between feeder and base. Two clear polycarbonate extensions for a capacity of 4 and 3/4 cups of food along with a large 1.5 gal. (24 cups) hopper are included. If you have a locksmith pet, the installed chute cover (chute protective device) will help prevent intrusion. Minor assembly with a supplied screwdriver. Its size mounted with only one clear extension is 12″x 11″x 25″ tall and is normally placed backed up to a wall, cabinet or across a corner wall. Most importantly, compared to others, it could also be mounted to a wall or your very own mount using a piece of lumber instead of supplied short stand for that smart and mischievous cat! Food recommendation: Most oddly shaped kibbles will work well up to 5/8″ diameter with varied portion accuracy results. Small 1/4” round (spherical) kibbles offered by Science Diet or many other brands produce the very best portion accuracy (stack well together). Tests have shown that an overall portion accuracy of +/- 0.1 to 0.2 ounce from one portion to another can be obtained. A round stainless steel bowl is also available from Super-Feed if you must have one. This particular feeder combo is intended for indoor use only.
